I did wonder why, in 500 years, she didn't experience as powerful of a love interest, but this emphasizes how significant it is when it does happen. It's always fun to read a book set somewhere you've been, even if the places are altered somewhat by fantasy. From time travel, to mystery, to history and romance, the tropes of each combine well to create an original, niche story.
